The Beta Cell Foundation funds grassroots projects developed and run by individuals living with type 1 diabetes to educate, empower, and unite the type 1 diabetes community.
There are lots of people who want to make a difference in our community, but it costs money: you can’t have a camping trip without tents; you can’t host an art exhibit without renting a space; you can’t fly in a speaker to talk to your school without airfare. Right now, only people with the means are able to lead change.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to change the world in their own way.
If you have an idea for an educational community-building project, we want to fund it for you. Think about how you can help teach people about food, exercise, mental health, or anything else. There are some other requirements to know before you apply, so check those out too.
